let me ask you this , you promote saphiccash , they don't pass along your webmaster ref code. would you feel the statement "saphiccash shaves" is appropriate ?
I thought he made a good effort to help the guy and the guy turned around and made serious unfounded accusations .
There are correct ways to go about these things. I have called out many sponsors for traffic leaks , but i wouldnt start off the thread by acusing them of shaving. especially if i had not done my homework first and was infact wronghatisblack at yahoo.comComment

When they are outed as being a shady company on a site called kissaturd, I believe they probably would react that way. That, or they might take legal action instead.
A normal person brings up the issue by asking a question. A crazy person makes a blog post about it on a site that is basically accusing companies of being thieves. Awesome program that converts!
1. Minusonebit does come off as a crazy loon that is out to simply start drama.
2. Minusonebit could have easily brought this to ARS's attention in PRIVATE (like true professionals do)...but he obviously didn't cause he thrives on the drama and he needs something to blog about. Minusonebit you are 100000% in the wrong about all this and the way u handled it. You simply prooved everyone's opinion about u rather than actually helping webmasters.
3. It seems that ARS Bryan went out of his way to help minusonebit and then got back stabed. I can understand why ARS Bryan is mad. Getting bothered on a sunday about an idiot affiliate would piss anyone off! Especially when it's a needy webmaster that's buggged u from day 1. And the thread/post Minus made was COMPLETELY idiotic and shows his lack of industry knowledge.
4. I agree that name calling does look unprofessional. ARS is 100% in the right to ban this affiliate. They are 100% in the right to even post it on GFY/JBM etc.. It does in fact let others know what a loonatic minusonebit is......BUT it should have been done without the name calling.
My personal opinion is that the big big companies in adult look 100% more professional and in the end will come out on top when the personal name calling is left out and things are left strictly business...IMHO
But at the same time AFF has been in drama threads... Serge is all about the drama....RonLevi, BradShaw, 12clicks and other successful people have all had there share of unprofessional drama threads. So drama might not exactly be a bad thing. Seems like epiccash was completely built on Trey's drama. So a thread like this most likely simply helps ARS get more attention and sales and really doesn't look unproffesional to most people.
So MY personal opinion is that Bryan is in the wrong by acting childish and name calling....BUT he's 1000000000% right in his banning and posting about it...I simply would have liked to see a "proffessional" type press release way of posting about it rather than the typical "haha fuck u" type of response....but like I've said, virtually every big company is guilty of doing the same thing at one point or another. And I might act in the SAME exact way..so who am I to judge..
But in the end.. ARS ROCKS! They have AWESOME affiliate support. They are a VERY honest company that's been around forever and have a great reputation. I would recommend them to anyone! How ONE single employee acts on a webmaster board shouldn't be an indication of the whole company.

lol give it up already. All anyone with half a brain is going to see is an employee of ARS standing up for his company when some mentally unstable idiot started throwing false accusations out about his companies practices.
Bryan called a spade a spade and dealt with the chump in a timely and appropriate manner for GoFuckYourself.com . You might have a point if he sent that out on letterhead to someone they were doing BUSINESS with but then they weren't really doing any business with this Keith were they.
ARS is a stand up program and anyone who wouldn't work with them over Bryan's post needs to give their head a shake.Comment

I don't get it. Why do people think a guy should get a golden medal for doing his job. If a character gets paid to deal with affiliates and help them out, how come performing his day to day tasks he is assigned to do is considered extra nice approach?
I see hoards of ass kisser who will continue their brown nosing regardless of how blatant truth is. The readership of this board goes far beyond the ass kissers. Those are the people who deserve to know what kind of treatment they can expect if they become affiliates of ARS. That's all I have to say about that. The problem with your point of view is that many here (including lurkers) have been ARS affiliates for many years, from pre-2000 days (including myself), NONE of whom have had to be "handled" like this. Why? Simple... because none have acted like this guy has. Most if not all would have the sense to talk over a concern with the program first before taking it to the boards. Issues like this read a whole lot differently once you've done all you can do in private first, but the problem there is that it's usually not as drama-worthy then.
It's not about ass-kissing, it's more about seeing an issue for what it is, in this case minusonebit again shooting his mouth off and getting his ass handed to him. Period.
You do have one thing right... the first line in your post -- "I don't get it"

Smokey, you're making yourself look like a tool. All of Sapphic galleries I have ever promoted have aff codes in all links, including 2257 link. There are no webmaster links on their galleries. I'm not sure what kind of galleries you have, but all of their promo emails with latest FHGs I recieve look like that - all of the links contain aff code, incl 2257 one and there is no webmaster link on there. Webmaster link is available from the website itself which you can access from links provided on a gallery page. In which case webmaster link will be properly linked with the code again.
I don't know why you are having troubles adding two and two but I guess we are not all born equal. What do you call it, when sponsors offer free hosted galleries that have a link which is does not contain affiliate code? It doesn't matter how significant a number of webmasters may sign up with a program through a link in a gallery you promote. It's still a traffic for which if there was an affiliate code, you would be credited for. Isn't this the meaning of shaving - leaking webmasters traffic by providing direct links to parts of a website, for which the affiliate otherwise got paid if there was a legitimate sign up? Shaving to most people means the deliberate removal of affiliate sales from accounts. The deliberate "shaving" or not crediting the correct amount after a legitimate sign-up happens. It's when a surfer clicks your affiliate link, goes to the tour, actually signups up and then you're NOT credited with the sale.
That's what most people consider "shaving". It's the equivalant of stealing in most peoples eyes.
A traffic leak is something different.
Just symantics...but none the less "shaving" is something much worse than possible "traffic leaks".
And then when the traffic leaks are the 2257, webmaster & customer support link it just makes this whole thing funny. Those are hardly true "traffic leaks". Ok maybe the "webmaster" link could give the affiliate credit (if ars does that), or if these extra pages then have links back to the tours then maybe now they should carry the affilaite code all the way through. But really not a big deal in the big picture and are something completely different than true "shaving" as described above.Comment
