As for Kiev, it's nice to stay in for a few months but I wouldn't wanna live there. You can get a fairly decent place downtown for about 2k/month give or take.

downtown Kiev is a very nice place. I actually found it to be the same if not more expensive than most european cities. Kiev is a very clean and safe city and has great nightlife.

Darkjedi lives there and he may have extra room in his apt to rent you out a room. I'm not sure which fake nick he's posting under so I'm not sure how to put you in touch with him. The only negative I can see is that he gets his ip banned frequently on gfy and you'd probably have to log on via proxy.
