No cosponsors yet, but good luck with all that. 10 years ago or so I'd say it would never happen, but these days there is just no telling what lunacy may happen.

Good luck getting a 2/3rds Majority in both houses, and 38 states to agree especially since red/blue states generally run 50-50

        1. They have tried to repeal the 22nd amendment multiple times since Reagans time in office.

        2. If they repealed it we would get to see Clinton in office for a third term and that would not be a bad thing

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twenty-...s_Constitution

According to historian Glenn W. LaFantasie (who was opposed to repealing the amendment) of Western Kentucky University, "ever since 1985, when Ronald Reagan was serving in his second term as president, there have been repeated attempts to repeal the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, which limits each president to two terms." [3] In addition, several Democratic congressmen, including Rep. Barney Frank, Rep. José Serrano,[4] Rep. Howard Berman, and Sen. Harry Reid,[5] have introduced legislation to repeal the Twenty-second Amendment, but each resolution died before making it out of its respective committee. Other alterations have been proposed, including replacing the absolute two term limit with a limit of no more than two consecutive terms and giving Congress the power to grant a dispensation to a current or former president by way of a supermajority vote in both houses.[citation needed]

Stuff like this will never get passed, I mean seriously we have such a dysfunctional house/senate that can't even pass a basic budget.

It's same with any gun bans.. it will never happen, because both sides are too far apart on everything to be able to agree to do anything like that.

The Gun brokers & manufacturers are probably laughing all the way to the bank, about the right's hysteria of having guns banned. They are making record sales levels and massive profits. Obama was the best thing to ever happen to the Gun Brokers & manufacturers because they have been able to use fear mongering to scare the Righties into literally buying stores out of their guns and having year waiting list on some.

The last time there was a gun ban it was the Brady Bill & the Assault Rifle ban, both of which even Ronald Reagan supported and he was considered pro gun. Showing that even then Republicans looked at gun regulations as needed to be responsible, unlike today where they want to protect criminals rights to bear arms.

The gun lobby (ie NRA & co) have effectively made the gun debate a Light vs Left thing, and about freedom not responsibly.

In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.
