Depends where they are located and what they do. Where I live the average income is like 600 EUR or 900 USD per month. However there are places where the lowest income is indeed 300 $.

I think you will find that once you get out of the first world lots of countries use the end price to get their taxes. So if you add in 30% at the checkout it tends to drive prices up. Europe is just spendy because as you said you guys make more on the lower levels.
That being said, it is really cheaper in the US and easier to make lots of cash. So of points out why everyone wants to live there.Comment

well i am talking about normal people who are waking up at 5 AM in the morning have three kids and a normal life for Romania. They work every day, didn`t heard about pubs, fancy cocktails and stuff like these.

No, not everyone is earning 600 EUR, in Bucharest the minimum salary is around 300 EUR or 450 $. Most of the people that went to college earn around 1000 EUR (1500 USD). The income increased with 20% per year as an average for the last 3 years (so a 60% increase in 3 years) and the estimations are that they will increase with around 20% this year too.

Hotels are expensive all around the world (yes including Romaina).
That's because you stay there only if you MUST stay in hotel (you're away from home), and since you MUST stay there - you're going to PAY for that.
The most expensive hotels are by default in main cities (capitols) because all major companies, government institutions are there. Also most of airports are there too and visitors usually arrive by plane... All those factors really pump the prices. But if you go out from main city you can find cheaper hotels there, but than you have other costs like transportation to get to the point where you are doing business or site seeing or whatever by taxi or rent-a-car.
If you are planing to stay longer than one month in this case in Romania, that's not visiting Romania thats living in Romania. So I guess you can rent a good flat/apartment for ~$1.000/month and if needed get some maid to keep it clean and do all those jobs around it for ~$500.
The other problem US visitors may have is that USD dropped a lot comparing to EUR, and in Europe everything is measured to EUR, so that's why it's all expencive to US folks that come to Europe and it's cheap fro Europe folks to go to the US (at the moment).Make a bank with Chaturbate - the best selling webcam program

Yeah I would say the prices for a decent living in the States might be at this moment even lower than here. With the cheaper food / way cheaper goods and gas beeing at half of the price as here.
But I doubt many of those who are willing to live there are actually informed and familiar enough with the system, it's tough in the States and I hear everytime people who have zero information and zero understanding of the culture that they would want to "get rich" there.
In many cases - I actually doubt they would survive a week in States

I was in Ho Chi Minh City last month and the Sheraton in District 1 was $329 per night. I stayed there one night and then went to a Novotel for $89 in District 5 (rooms were comparable). It's the same all over the world.

Well fuck I can go to some small town in CA where the average person may make 7.00 an hour if they are lucky. Rooms per night in even the dive style hotels are 70.00 a night and a decent hotel will still run you 140.00 or higher per night.Comment
