no not for wacking. damn [Labret] get your mind out of the gutter

a palm computer thingy. anyone use them? handy? pain in the ass? been thinking of geting one to replace my calendar & notepad, but i sure am attached to those things...

the revolution is coming.

i use the HANDSPRING that i won from gfy quite a bit. along with the general shopping list, memo pad and calculator stuff, i use mine as a word processor. see redeyes, told you i could

i find it easier to lug around than my clunky old laptop. i got a cool little keyboard for it so i can write my articles while i sip coffee at my favorite restaraunt.

i use one, but basically for only one thing: banking. i always have a shit load of stuff to do when i hit the bank, so i keep all the details on it.

i recenty bought SONY CLIE NR70V/U - the one with camera built in

Its pretty cool but i thought it would have a wireless modem

So far i use for banking as well
i save all wire details there and go to the bank with it instead of tons of papers

but i am still trying to find more use for it

Palms are great for storing contact information, instead of writing it down on paper.

Also great to jot down notes, again instead of writing it on a scrap of paper only to lose it later on.

As mentioned, great time killer too, you can donwload games and play them on the plane etc.

Very handy those things it takes 3 times aslong to write
something on a palm than on a piece of paper. Contact info
is already in your mobile phone..but of course it's always good
to have a backup in your palm. 200 addresses keep you occupied
for at least 10 transatlantic flights to get the in so no you will not
be bored.

It's also cool to drag along another piece of equipment next to
phone and laptop. Especially when it's hot and you wear shorts
and T-shirt...After 1 week you try selling it to friends for half the
price.

Only offer it to friends who haven't seen you fiddling around with
it. All friends who've seen you are not interested in buying anymore.

If you use the note feature where you just write on the screen it's just as fast.

I have the Palm Vx and previously had a palm pro.

I use it as my contact database, calculator, bank details, daytimer, and yes to play games on the airplane.
