    GFY Admins: Why Was I Censored? Why Was My Signature Removed?

    Why was I censored?

    Why was my signature line on this forum removed and replaced with "Personal Attacks are Against GFY Rules... Strike One!"?

    Moreover, which admin did it? If you are going to censor any user on this board for any reason, I think you should at least attach your name to it so everyone knows who did it. No one IMd me before or after and I have no e-mails and no other communication as to who did it or what their reasons were.

    How is my linking to various threads on the subject of NATS/TMM - some started by me, some started by others - an act of committing a personal attack in violation of the rules? This is an issue of great importance to alot of people and the signature served as sort of directory to the relevant NATS/TMM threads. Is it now against the rules to encourage or call for the boycott of a shady company?

    No one - including me - is challenging the authority of the admins. We're all well aware who is in charge, who owns the sandbox and who gets to make the rules. On the other hand, I will not pretend to agree with what I think is a very unfair decision.

          Keith, you are sick in your head. Think about it for once. At least try to realize it instead of denying it. I know there is no rule cure for your condition but accepting it will make things easier i think.

                                                                          They do not contact you if they change your sig, put you on the miserable list or ban you. They just do it. If you have questions or disagree with what they did, just send an ICQ to one of the admin. Ice is a nice guy, I am sure he will answer any of your questions.

Ice has always been nice the handful of times I have talked to and so has Eric. And I will talk to them, but neither are on right now. I'd rather they respond here though so that everyone can see the response.

                                                                                                                                  I imagine the response will be similar to the one Eric gave me for why he removed the public addresses from one of the NATS threads: "because I am in charge and I reserve that right to do so", to paraphrase the response.

                                                                                                                                  And thats OK. I am cool with that. Its their board and they can censor anyone they like. No one debates that fact. But at least we all know that they did it and why it was done and then its up to the membership to decide if it was proper or not.
