    Checking Your Luggage

When you go on a trip, whether vacation or conference/business, do you check your luggage?

I try to avoid it if possible and if I do, I always at least pack a few extra things in my carry on just in case it gets lost or delayed.

I always have a carry on stocked to the gills with valuables and check all of my clothes and shit. If the bag is misplaced for awhile I have the clothes on my back.

I take about a five trips a year and have never had a problem. *knock on wood*

Valuable / breakables always in the carry on. Depending on the location sometimes will purchase clothes there. That depends on the country. Some will give you a hard time if you don't show up with "enough" luggage for your visit.

Never ever put valuables in checked luggage.

I have checked all sorts of shit, valuable and non, just cause of lack of room and never had an issue.

What pisses me off about carry ons are all the turds who never travel and have too big of carry on bags that end up needing to be gate checked.
