    Preparing for New Year's Day (pics)

    Over the past couple of weeks I have been shooting a lot of Christmas stuff for CNN, and while they like the Christmas lights, they really seem to like the Tournament of Rose Parade preparation photos even more.

                                                                          Thanks, missed that link earlier. Interesting on their cost estimates; that isn't what I was reading elsewhere. I will be going back in a couple days, I'll be sure to ask about the accuracy of that (cost to build).

                                                                                                                      My daughter lives a few houses down from Colorado Blvd, so I took advantage of that last year and attended my first Rose Parade. It was pretty impressive; it appears I may have to go again this year. At least I get great parking and a front row seat.

                                                                                                                                  So, the article I submitted about the float preparations was made an "Editors Pick" and put on the front page of CNN.com - In the article I mentioned that my access to the floats was being cut off due to my lack of credentials. Within hours I had credentials to go back to Fiesta Floats and the California Cut Flower Commission contacted me to shoot a float they were involved with. Went out yesterday and took a few shots.
