I do my own in house distribution. I am not going to publish any information on how my business works. So if you were to provide me a method of directly contacting you, I might be able to point you the correct direction.

Be VERY careful dealing with distributors in this business....most are at least as crooked as Fabian Thylmann.

Lets say you choose to self distribute IVD, Metro Home Video will want your product and they will offer to buy hundreds of pieces....they may offer 8 bucks per DVD. And of course they will want credit....and they will want to be able to return what they dont sell for credit.

lets use Metro as as an example lets say they take 500 pieces at 8 bucks per on a net 30 term

after 30 days they return 300 of those for credit (never mind your 200 piece price point would be 10 bucks per)

oh and they havent paid you yet...so if you are doing a release every week they now owe you a decent amount of money

But they have no incentive to pay you, what are you going to do hurt their credit rating?

so after 90 days you cut them off but they owe you a lot of money....they dont care what they wanted to do all along was wait you out, see if you would go belly up (as many do) and they would never pay you at all....after 180 days you might get a check, consider yourself lucky if it doesnt bounce.

and they arent the only ones playing this game....someone who pays 60 days past dues is actually a good payer.

your other option is to go with a company that can leverage these guys to pay on time, like evil angel...a product they have to carry if Evil angel decides to distribute your product you will make money and lots of it, they pay you when they get paid so small distributors who dont have the leverage that Evil Angel does face the same problem that you would have if you self distribute, expect a 25-30% default rate... So why doesn't Everyone distribute via Evil Angel? they are very picky about whose product they take...good luck getting them to take your product.

Selling to the DVD market is hardly worth the headaches these days....Consider yourself warned.

I've had VOD w/ Adult Rental for about 5 years...
They are legit!
In fact, I have about 100 new DVD titles to send them, once I get past Internext / AVN hectic-ness!

Thanks for the tips, Fitz and Ma. We have accounts with a couple places including HotMovies. We had an account with AEBN then the reps quit or were fired and we had no account after.

Not really sure what happened as they do not have the professional courtesy to work out any issues with us.

Adult Rental is legit...
I have had my dvd's there for nearly 6 years or so!

I wish to have my dvd there too

but they kicked me out

I don't find it profitable any more to do physical copies...

Many of the studios that send movies to Adult Rental now work through Hard drives that we mail each other back and forth. We have many hard drives that are constantly in transit now.

Also FTP works

Dave always handles my hard drive with care and affection.
