I've never liked either one. I love the look of the two-tone submariner, I picked one up last year.
A bit classy is still the GMT, looks sharp IMO. or I'd check out the Milgauss.
If you were going between the two, Id say Day Date because nothing says true
then having the day of the week and the day of the month on your wrist
Make sure to buy a winder, it will be a great $70 investment. I found a great one on Amazon that has specific settings of RPD for their watches, I can send you the link if your interested.
