early reports often turn out to be incorrect, you just brought the information as you found it. early reports on something as confusing as a shooting or attack tend to be particularly full of errors.
they did say one gun was left in the car.
the mother was clearly well-to-do. the evening news just said she was concerned about defending herself during an economic collapse.
so, in this case, the bushmaster did not jam. it sounds like he may have ran thru quite a few magazines, as each child was described as having multiple gsw by the medical examiner.
