Which ever is the better candidate...“If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.” -
I would vote for whomever is the best canidate in my opinion for the country even if it would mean a few personal possible issues for myself, like issues with my job for example.Comment

Well it depends if they are a religious Muslim or not. Islam is a whole political ideology all in its own, laid out (unlike Christianity) in ways that are often not up to debate or change. As an idealogical position Islam would contradict with many areas that most American's or Westerners would promote. So it does matter in that sense. But than again, I really doubt many in politics are true believers, Muslim or Christian.ICQ: 637//961--015Comment

I think this whole thing is retarded. The man is a christian and very old, ofcourse hes not going to believe in evolution. It does not make him a bad candidate. How many candidates don't believe in evolution?Yeah, gotta vote for someone that doesn't believe in evolution. Great move.

You think not believing in evolution is retarded?
Damn those pesky scientists and their fossils!
I couldn't take a more diametrically opposed view to you. If someone doesn't believe in science, evolution and the evidence that supports this, they would not be getting my vote.
But it's a free country you have there, so you vote for who you want to represent *your* country. If that is someone that doesn't believe in dinosaurs and who believes we are ALL descended from Adam and Eve, then, well, you are allowed to vote for him.
I just kinda think that a position of such power deserves someone who can buy into the whole idea of fossils.
Your call though.
Heck, enough of you voted for the retard you have in charge at the moment.
I say vote Spaghetti Monster!Comment

Just a quick clarification about Ron Paul and evolution. He said he believes that God was responsible for the origin of life, that evolution is a theory and not a law, and that he personally does not believe the question is pertinent to the political discussion.
If you look at his political record you understand that his personal religious views are kept as just that, personal. Unlike many other candidates that wear their religion to garner support Huckabee-Romney-Thompson-Obama.
And on a personal note. The theories of intelligent design and evolution are not necessarily at odds. And since none of us will ever know, what fucking difference does it make considering the issues facing the US in the very near future?AlanAgus1 at gmail dot com-------------------------------Comment

No clarification needed really. I posted a link to a video clip of him saying he didn't believe in it. People can watch it from the horse's mouth. I think that religious beliefs, and every belief, is a very important part of politics. I honestly would rather eat GWB's shit than vote for someone who thinks that dinosaurs are not true. I am unsure how any sane person could vote for a man who actually believes we are all descended from Adam and Eve and that the earth is 6,000 years old.Just a quick clarification about Ron Paul and evolution. But, freedom of speech and voting is wonderful. You go and vote for the fairy-story guy if that's what you think is the right thing to do. I would defend to the DEATH your right to do that.Comment

you don't need to ;)"Senator Obama has never been a Muslim," Obama communications director Robert Gibbs said. "As a six-year-old in Catholic school, he studied the catechism." Barack Obama has been associated with the United Church of Christ since the mid-1980s, describes himself as a Christian, and says that he is "rooted in the Christian tradition."Comment
