Don't do this. They can use your connection to download CP or hack someone. Since you sell porn, LAST thing you want is to be associated with ANYTHING related to CP, the police won't ask questions, they'll just see porn on your computer and assume that you're guilty.

And if anyone here has wireless, use WPA or WPA2 protection and use a very long password (like a sentence or something), don't use WEP protection. WEP can be cracked in matter of minutes with the right wireless card.

Those can really slow you down. (especially if you are trying to play on xbox live)

Sure it can be cracked, but enabling WEP would still cut out a significant chunk of drive-by'ers. Not everyone has the tools or knowledge to break in.

Obviously. But leaving your wireless open is like enabling anonymous access on your ftp server, except even worse since they leave no trace when they use your wireless. It's basic security and a far stretch from someone breaking into your house.

With an open window and the ability to point your antenna in any direction, I now have a half ass functional connection at my mothers house...When I drive around and used it, it worked VERY well...It's well worth it..

Dude, I'm the last one to give a shit about all the rules, but you're a fucking COMPETE FUCKING MORON if you're leaving your network open unless you have absolutely nothing worth anything on your computer(s) and I find that hard to believe.

There's lots of open free wi fi networks in lots of areas of cities now if you want to take a stroll. Also like someone else said, you can just buy a broadband card and stick it in a lap top and you have another system though I don't suggest any heavy artillery with one of the later.
