    Exremely New-bie here..traffic help needed

Hello everyone. I set up my first site this past October. The site is firsttimefemales.com and I would appreciate your comments and advice on what I can do to improve it. More importantly, I am not having any luck with traffic. I have submitted my site to search engines, tgps, traffic exchange programs (even though I don't have any traffic to share...lol). I am getting mixed info on whether buying traffic is a good idea. The bottom line is....what is the best way to acquire traffic? I am very new to this so please forgive me if I didn't explain my situation completely. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Holy shit, I just looked at your site. Here's my suggestions...

        1. delete your header image... delete if off of your server forever.
        2. get rid of all those banners on the bottom
        3. make the width fluid, or shorten it a lot. I'm on a wide screen monitor and the site is still too wide.

Is this a tgp? It looks like one, but is it?

If it is a real working tgp then I would suggest setting up traffic trades, hardlinks trades, and buying a shit load of feeder traffic to get it going. But honestly, i'm also a newbie so maybe others can give you better advice.

Wow, I must be pretty bad at this. The site is not supposed to be a tgp but maybe I have it set up all wrong or maybe I don't understand the terminology. I don't produce my own work and I figured that was the purpose of the affiliate programs to get it, other than to send traffic to their sites and get paid for it. I have never used icq but it sounds like I need to. Thank you all for your comments and I appreciate that everyone was helpful and not mean..lol

If you're looking to buy traffic, go with trafficholder. You can buy traffic by niche, by geo-location, or by domain. Plus, they filter out all the garbage no-cookie and Chinese traffic. And their prices are very reasonable!

                    1. Too wide 1280 width? Try again -- most surfers are going to be around 1024 width
                    2. Hard to read, blue links on blue background
                    3. images aren't sized properly
                    4. META tag "keyword" is overstuffed and may get you blacklisted
                    5. stylesheet is linked to your harddrive and doesn't work for us

Yeah, many of the pictures look pixelated from being stretched too much. I would suggest you allow the surfer to view a few pictures as soon as your site opens so they will want to stay on your page. As of now you have to scroll down quite a ways to see pics. Also, you may want to focus your site a little more to focus on one niche (topic). Right now you have all sorts of sites (tranny, ass, etc.), but I've found it works better if you offer a single niche.

Your keywords tag isn't closed properly (your keywords having an opening quotation mark and yet no closing quotation mark -- they are also on different lines which probably is bad in and of itself).

Also try to use div's (tabless) for your content instead of tables, it loads quicker and looks cleaner overall.
Although its not important for the type of site it is at the moment, you will benifit from it once your traffic starts to increase.

I have a 21" widescreen and your banner is full width with the table background behind it.
You should try and cater for all sizes.

If you want, i will be happy to go over your site's code with you on icq some time.

                              icq is in my sig/

This is some great advice. I highly recommend you make many of the changes mentioned.

                                1. Take off that shocking header graphic and just slap up an H1 tag with a spiffy font and desired color. Also, you really shouldn't have a pulsing "Explore Your Fantasies" graphic. It will turn off a lot of surfers.

                                2. Add some text content. The less words on the page, the less Google and Yahoo will know what your site is about. If you are going to keep the site as is then try and break up the page with different sections and add some text to each section.

                                3. Create more pages with specific niches. The more pages you have the better for your Search Engine appeal.

                                4. Join Thunder-ball.net for free and start trading hardlinks with other sites. Check out my sig to see for yourself.

I've seen alot of buy traffic posts... As a newish webmaster myself, and after having purchased traffic a few times - Let me just say Do Not Buy Traffic until you figure out how to drive traffic. Don't buy it from anyone, on any site. Fix the issues listed above. Maybe even find yourself a nice template to use or setup a wordpress blog. Focus on a niche and not such a wide range of content.

Read and reread this forum and others...

I bought alot of traffic and it did not convert - Not One Time! I made mistakes but it cost me money... save yourself some money. Fix your site first and then drive traffic to it...
