While Minoxidil will make you keep most your hair, the real question is what else is it doing? A lot ends up in the bloodstream; this is not a good idea. It was originally used to treat high blood pressure, then they accidentally found out that it makes you grow hair.
Much safer just to stick with rubbing Caffeine (Alpecin) into the scalp
