Exact details of the incident are still being pieced together, similar to a jigsaw puzzle.

I got a feeling people were saying you were " hacked" and that is the false info you are talking about. Correct me if I am wrong. But at the end of the day if it was a " hack " or a " compromised password list on your server", either way its all the same to most people. It's the same end result. Its like someone saying, no its " adware" not "spyware", but what the hell do we care if it still steals traffic from us.

I'm torn on this issue. On one hand, this is not an issue that should be swept under the rug. It's simply unacceptable to have affiliate data be mined that way, and even more unacceptable that this issue was known for awhile. It deserves coverage and people deserved to be called out on it.
But the more mainstream coverage this gets, the worse off for the industry it is. I know minusonebit isn't really in the industry so this stuff doesn't affect him. But the more this gets out, the worse off conversions will be. I guess what I'm saying is that this should be big industry news, but hurts us all the more mainstream it gets. It's sad that people want to hurt the industry so bad.Comment

Its GFY, Tony. Most of them think this is the only adult webmaster board. If it wasn't posted here, it didn't happen. Truly not the case.
The fact of the matter is this:
I have a source for every allegation I made. In order for John to prevail in a libel suit he will not only have to prove that the allegations were false he will also have to prove that I knew so when I published the story. He still has not done several of the things he is required to do under the libel laws.
Additionally, if he is actually stupid enough to go through with this - which I now think he is - he will be sorry. Because I will use the discovery and subpoena process to go through every aspect of his miserable and pathetic little existence on this planet and the truth of exactly what TMM did and did not do will be public knowledge. John wants this to be ugly so I will make it ugly. This started as being about how John's company fucked alot of people over through its incompetent handling of things, John turned it into an issue of it being about John himself: personally, professionally and as a player in the industry.
John was the first one to declare war. He did it in an unprofessional manner (legal threats are to be made by certified mail, return receipt requested - not on GFY) and when someone declares war on me I am not going to sit around and wait to be invaded.Comment

You and people like you are the main reason I decided to blow the lid off this whole thing and now that I have done it I am even more convinced that I did the right thing. "It was just their e-mail address" is pretty much what you are saying and that *could* be all it is. No one knows for sure. You are speculating that thats all it is, just like I am speculating that its more than that. I don't see where your speculation is somehow more valid than mine.
But lets assume, for the sake of argument. Thats a big fucking deal to most people. People expect this industry to maintain their privacy with regard to all of their information and then they breach it in the most negligent manner imaginable and then send people from the adult industry out onto the news sites to try and tell them "Its OK, its just your e-mail address". You people deserve what will come of this. I will be sending piles of letters tomorrow and I will ask the government to get involved. Why? Because most of the people here clearly lack the intelligence to deal with it on their own.
And again, no one has proven that billing info is or was safe. All I have thus far is John's word on that subject and the uneducated opinion of a few board whores. Sorry, thats just not good enough.Comment

Keith AKA "minusonebit" was shot friday evening 47 times by 5 unknown assailants while he was masturbating to a Kevin Federline photograph in a Shell gas station bathroom. He was known to have had few friends and leaves no one behind that wants to admit to knowing him.
Minusonebit was best known for his fake and transparent attention getting/trolling efforts on GFY which were always executed with all the style and flair of a retarded chimpanzee. To name a few examples, he was posting usernames and passwords, explaining how people should defraud the IRS and took the time to write a lengthy, well documented article (backed by incriminating photos) about how he was robbing his local power company of electricity because they were, as he put it "cocksuckers begging to be made an example of" and for taking on fights that weren't his to fight such as that with John at NATS.
It is strongly suspected by many in the adult business that his deep rooted fear of authority and constant craving for negative attention are the result of being sexually abused as a child by several family members, friends and neighborhood animals. "No one likes him, no one supports him. No one believes him and further, no one is entirely sure if he even has or has ever had anything to do with the adult business." said one adult webmaster.
Calls to the prosecutor handling the case of this brutal slaying had went unanswered until late this afternoon when the official statement was given that was this; "seriously, does anyone really care?... the guy couldn't put two words together without pissing someone off or saying something mind numbingly stupid. I don't know what happened, but reviewing his past behavior, the record strongly suggests he probably deserved what he got". The police said the investigation is ongoing. Or maybe not. You need to work on your reading comprehension. I am a program owner and I have repeatedly attempted to educate you on this. I considered NATS for a recent project. I'm going to say this once as clearly as I can:
I BELIEVE CREDIT CARD DATA WAS NOT LEAKED BECAUSE THE PURPOSE OF THE NATS SOFTWARE HAS ABSOLUTELY ZERO TO DO WITH COLLECTING CREDIT CARD DATA FROM CUSTOMERS.
If you do not even know what the NATS software is for because you do not now, nor have you ever worked, in this industry, maybe you are not an expert and you should stop going off half-cocked.
I do not even use NATS and my business will be hurt by the disinformation you are spreading. Look at all the people on Slashdot suggesting everyone become thieves to protect themselves from a problem you fabricated. Why do you want to hurt everyone, unless you have some nutjob vendetta with online adult in general?Comment
