So who thinks minusonebit/Keith Kimmel is a religious nutjob tool with an agenda?
Anyone here want to vouch that the guy has sent them any noticeable amount of traffic?
Anyone here want to vouch that they have hired him to do anything?
Here are his two most noted adult industry activities to date:
(1) Made available hundreds of webmasters' epass login info.
(2) Put out an incredibly misleading press release suggesting that 95% of adult websites use NATS and that the recent alleged NATS data leak included all customers' credit card information.
Something about the whole NATS witchhunt and the way minusonebit was chortling on Slashdot about how neither TMM or the adult industry would ever recover from his smear job raised my hackles.
So I read Keith Kimmel's resume on his web site. As near as I can tell, he currently has a lot of paper routes. His previous work experience is customer support. There is nothing to imply that he has ever been a webmaster of any kind, mainstream or adult. His one claim to fame appears to be having persecuted a local, I kid you not, pizza parlor in Ohio. (I mean persecuted and not prosecuted.)
I'm not sure if minusonebit/Kimmel's motivation is religious in nature or some other message transmitted via microwave to tinfoil hat, but he appears to be deliberately trying to sabotage our industry. He applauds the Unabomber on one of his sites and his threads on GFY seem not just intended to annoy, but to damage. The guy brags about his lawsuit Kimmel v Ulrey Foods d/b/a Flyers Pizza like it makes him a paladin white knight. He seems to have some kind of savior complex and it strikes me that he is freaked out about pictures, text, and video of people, you know, doing it and is doing his darnedest to make publication of such materials less profitable.
