You do realise that the fact is, there is a massive obesity problem in the US and that your food portions are enormous. I don't hate America at all, far from it, simply relaying my experience of being there.
Having travelled I would have thought you would have noticed this, however it seems you travel the same way in which you post with your head planted firmly up your ass.

The large fries (aka chips) available at McDonald's is 5.4 ounces; small is 2.5 oz. A large cola is 32 oz; the regular is 16. You are saying McD's in Oz are smaller portions?
