                Medellin is an awesome city. We were almost robbed by a group of thugs there but got away in a taxi that saw it going down and pulled up to save us.

                Then was jailed in Cali a week later for shooting porn. We were released 3 days later after everything checked out that we were not shooting minors.

                Other than that, have had very little problems there and I have spent a lot of time in that country. It is fairly safe so long as you don't drive from city to city.

                And I'm not going to endorse such behavior but if one were so inclined to to "party" in this wonderful country, it's the best on earth. Right from the source. So I'm told.

                                                            it's real unfortunate that these tourists books still paint such a bad picture of Colombia. 10 years ago it was like that but not now. i met locals whos parents had sent them away to the US like 15 years ago when Medellin was considered the 'Wild West'. they are back now. strange that these kids went and lived in the US , went to school learned to speak english and US has more opportunity but they still wanted to come back and live in Colombia.

                                                            in one way its ok .. cause i plan to visit Colombia allot more and i dont like going to places where the country is flooded with North Americans. does not look like Colombia will be like that anytime soon

                                                                        famous for painting fat people as most of us are familiar with.he looks at them as not fat but "full" people .. is how he describes them. there is a museum in downtown Medellin that displays all his art. he donated all these sculptures to the city of Medellin.
