          He is the mod of that subreddit so I guess he can do whatever he wants BUT if he wants that subreddit to grow and get the most out of reddit traffic the smartest way to do it is like wehateporn said.

              When I click here http://www.reddit.com/user/dvtimes it says "the page you requested does not exist". Does it do the same for you or is it just that I don't have permission to see his page?

                  Yep, you are right. He got "ghost banned" by reddit.

                  Maybe he was also posting to other subreddits wich he wasn't the mod.
