No, you just hate him because he is popular, other chefs hate him because he's doing the same dishes they are doing look simpler. What makes him as popular is that he keeps things more down to earth and does stuff that can be done by anyone in a reasonable amount of time and doesn't have a chefs kitchen with every kind of gadget available.

I agree a lot of his recipes have the same ingredients and he even admits that there are better, fancier way to do those dishes but they are time consuming and more often then not more work than they are worth, especially when doing it yourself. Everyone has their own style too so that can be expected with any chef if you see them cook enough.
