    The official GFC Interim Director Election Thread

    If you are a member of GFC then please help select an Interim Director while our beloved leader B.Barnato is unfairly imprisoned by the establishment.

    If you are not a member of the GFC then please do not vote. If you do vote, your vote will not be counted.

    If you think you are a member of GFC but are not sure, then please request a provisional ballot.

    The voting will end tomorrow at 6:00pm CST.

                  There are some names in there that are not even in the club.

                  Wouldn't membership be a requirement?

                  Anyway, unless the winner is a member you can count on me contesting the election in court for the best of the club.

                                                                                                          All votes are being done through the official poll thread (here).

                                                                                                          If I receive any requests via icq I will publish them here for all members to discuss how they effect the outcome.

                                                                                                          I accepted nominations through icq yesterday because that was much more informal and we were trying to expedite the process.

                                                                                                                  The option for ending the poll was in days, so it could continue past the deadline.

                                                                                                                  However I will pull the results at 6:00 and publish them here.

                                                                                                                  If any members have a real objection to that then we will just let the poll run till it's done which could be tonight or could be tomorrow or could be a month or so. I don't remember what number I put in for the days but it was more than 1 (I did not want it ending at midnight last night) and it was less than 1 million.

                                                                                                                  So, if we need to discuss this then there will be a call for a quorom and we will proceed as the bylaws state in a situation like this.

                                                                                                                              So, I screwed up, I guess a one day poll started at 6:38 does NOT end at midnight with the day roll over.

                                                                                                                                                          I have also altered my signature, both textically and graphically to ensure that B.Barnato will not be forgotten or taken for granted.

                                                                                                                                                          Unfortunately, those actions have not achieved any substantial results that I am aware of. I would consider the nuclear option but I am trying diplomacy first.

                                                                                                                                                          Meanwhile, our leader has asked that we carry on and make sure that the extremely important work of the GFY Friendship Club continues despite his absence.
