Well kids .. another one to cross off in the books. I stood at the grave of one of the most notorious drug lords in the world - of which
many of you can thank for the 3rd hole in your nose;-)

SKID Army went to Colombia ( Medellin, Cartegena, Cali, Santa Marta & San Andres ) for a few months on a business trip and what a trip it
was! Lots of webmasters have been asking me to post some pics so here are some from our great trip.

On another note .. these pictures cannot do justice of all the beautiful women we saw in Medellin (at the malls, restaurants, clubs etc.).
I truly think Colombia has an edge over Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela when it comes to latin women:-) just my opinion. and i have been
to all those countries in S. America.

Was good seeing everyone at the Playboy Mansion and look forward to seeing you all again at the Costa Rica show.

SKID Army is now off to Thailand for the holidays.

Will post some more pics a little later.

its very very safe now. you can walk around late at night where we were staying in Medellin ( El Poblado district ) no problem. you wouldn't go downtown at night with jewellery on etc. ( you wouldnt do that in some areas in the US either).

anyone that is well travelled in Central and South America knows that Colombians are some of the most beautiful latin women in the world. Medellin is also the fashion capital of Colombia so any girl trying to become a model, etc would move to Medellin. ( similar to girls in the US going to New York or LA to make it )

as for the kidnappings .. people who get kidnapped are very high profile people in Colombia that are trying to disrupt drug business,etc. and this has gone down considerably since the last 10 years.does not happen to people like you and me.

the rock is "La Piedra del Peñol (a.k.a. Peñon de Guatape)" .. famous rock in the Guatape region which is about 1hr drive outside of Medellin. Its second in the world to some famous rock in Australia but i cant remember for what though.

All the run down places were waterfront homes belonging to Pablo Escobar.
When he was killed, local people then burnt them.

San Andres is an island in the Caribbean Sea that is owned by Colombia. Its about 140 miles off the coast of Nicaragua.Large destination
for Colombians of course. Little harder to get to than other Caribbean islands as you first have to fly into Colombia ( mainland )
and then onto San Andres. Not many direct flights from North America.

Great place to relax and dive.

hey fuzebox .. yeah i loved San Andres. Medellin and Cali as you know dont have water around them. Cartegena is on the north coast but the water is shit and the beach sucks there! so to grab a 2 hr flight from Medellin into San Andres with Caribbean water was nice.

if I recall you are Canadian also right? i was reading a magazine on a flight and
it said that San Andres is now the most popular destination for Canadian couples to get married in the Caribbean. found that interesting. i had no idea.

if you like to dive its also a great place! i now know why all those Costa Rican
girls talk so much about the place and want to go. really is a great spot!
