    **SCAMMER ALERT** 'PornMD'

    This is to alert everyone about GFY user 'PornMD'

    I paid him for a domain name and then he signed off immediately and has not logged back onto AIM since.

    Then I found out:
    PornMD is an impostor who pretended to be Bliz (actual domains owner) on ICQ and sell these domains.

    If you are contacted by this person, DO NO TRUST THEM.

      Here is a post about (most likely) the same scammer:
      Just in case you guys haven't heard this week. Some maggot is contacting people via ICQ and trying to sell domains he doesn't own. He uses the nicks of well known webmasters and is preety smooth character. He only wants payment thru epassporte.

      Just wanted to make sure as many people as possible knew.

      Take it easy everyone.

                  i suspect it's the guy who's been fucking around under all sorts of name snow. everything i know of pornmd is good. though i've never done business with him before.

                  everyone remember to get the seller in question to throw up a sample page to prove ownership. its been mentioned before, everyone should be doing it. a mod should sticky a warning about this shit somewhere...

                      Er, I am NOT jetrain613, or icq# 434048832 (why would I have 2 AIMs and ICQs?) and that is NOT my ePass...my ePass is PornMD. Someone else scammed you posing as me. Sorry it happened, but you can protect yourself from scammers on domains by emailing the contact on the domain (which would have been [email protected] or [email protected], both of which are me) and verifying whether whoever contacted you was me, in which case I would have said no. I never outright contact anyone about selling my domains - people contact me from my posts.

                          He ICQed me from 391636496. Pretending to be "Cash" from NameTrader. He is affiliated with nametrader.com in some way as he has control over the domain it seems. As he went to some pretty elaborate lengths to prove to me that he was who he said he was. Still got $200 though, from me. Luckily I got epass to reverse it in time.

                                  I can vouch for pornMD he is no scammer. Hopefully the thread starter will post a retraction when he logs back in.
