I Bought Hotels.com for $11 million

David Roche is president of Hotels.com which is part of the Expedia group.

Mr Roche started working in hotels as a jazz musician and after a decade of nomadic entrepreneurialism he came across Hotels.com and since then it has mushroomed to become an online booker of 150,000 hotels in 34 languages.

Speaking to Today business presenter Simon Jack, the entrepreneur explained how the company took control of the market using the internet.

In 2001 the company purchased the name Hotels.com for around $11m and at the time this was thought to be "a crazy sum of money".

"Now we look back we look back and think, what a bargain," he added.

I bought two domains back in the old days of faxing reg agreements back and forth to interNIC. Sold them both for $20k - just wish I had bought more.

That's the thing - great domains are almost always bargains for the businesses that use them. Hell, Bank of America spent millions on Loans.com just to redirect it to Bank of America.

Penis pills exposed will be very easy for us to brand... and even it they dont works like you say, peoples are buying and buying ..everyday and they will continue to buy.. so we will exposed are awesome they are

About the finance one, this is different, mainstream, its not for now,, could be just a blog with ads... or a LP that explain or to get a loan or credit rate etc etc

They are 10$ domains, we can afford thousands of them, no worry

You could have ask what we gonna do with Wesexy.com and sinhard.com ... this i will had more problems to answer to the questions other than say MAYBE futur LP/WL/Blog/Tube will see...

We have ideas and good marketing team, so just adding domains to our portofolio is good for us.
