I'm actually curious - has anyone who has won the nomination and lost the general election ever tried running again? I'm sure it probably happens but it hasn't in my lifetime which is why I'm curious. It seems funny to me that someone like Romney who has run before but LOST the nomination would run again, especially ultimately against the same person on the other side. At least when McCain did it, he was running against someone new.
