              yeah, tubewarden - that all fell through at the last minute due to lots of pressue and potential legal liabilities... it kind of killed me and made me very wary of "good intent" in this industry.

              If anyone wants to take it on as an OSS initiative, I'm all in and will provide the code that did the fingerprinting. Serious players need only apply. In any case, I can't afford the possible (and likely) legal repercussions of digitally fingerprinting other people's sites...

                      Hopefully somebody takes you up on that, because I liked the concept.

                      Perhaps you can pitch/sell your finger-printing app as an add-on to an existing anti-piracy product/service.
