Say Huckabee wins, what does the future hold for Adult?

I'm curious. Looks like Huckabee is in the lead all of a sudden and the hillbilly's of America seem too afraid to pick a black guy or a woman for prez. What do you think would happen to the Adult industry if Huckabee wins. Anyone know his previous stance on adult? I'm sure it's not good because of his religious beliefs. He might be better than Giuliani though since Giuliani will be a constant reminder of 9/11/. Shame on me but I like the fact that Romney is trying to keep religion out of politics, although I don't know what his stance on porn is. I'm still pulling for Obama.

So, what if Huckabee actually wins.

All politicians have the same public stance on porn...they are against it.

I would assume it would not be good. He is a baptist minister after all. That said the hillbillys of america are not going to vote for any democrat so they really have no say whether hillary or obama get elected. The unwashed left has the power here. If they actually put the bong down for a few minutes and get out an vote they can put anyone they want in the white house. Getting them to vote is the hard part.

When it comes to Romney there are only two things you know. First, he is trying to keep religion out of politics because he is a Mormon and it will greatly hurt his chances to win. Second, he made millions off his investments in Marriott hotels. They make a huge amount of their profit from pay per view porn. Once he started running he actually gave speeches talking about how bad porn is and it is turning out society into a cesspool. When asked why he didn't try to have it removed from the Marriott rooms he said his worry isn't so much about porn as a whole but about kids stumbling upon it unwittingly.

here is a good article about it http://www.boston.com/news/nation/ar...n_at_marriott/

To me it seems like he is willing to turn the other cheek if it is padding his pockets, but I have the feeling he would not hesitate to come after us will both barrels blazing in the name of protecting kids.

My position on all of this is that if they are republican they will probably be bad for us with the exception of Ron Paul. Some say Guliani is more of a social moderate so he might not be as bad, but he was pretty harsh on porn stores in new york city. The democrats are not pro-porn by any means, but they are much less likely to actively come after us.

Who knows? But the Constitution will endure, and with it, free speech.

If Huckabee can pull off his promised elimination of the IRS, he will achieve Reagan like status, and jump start the lagging US economy big time.

                Go, Mike!!

                  Bingo.

The Dems and the Republicans aren't much different on porn.

They aren't much different on alot of issues these days, unfortunately.

For the 100th time, they are all against but for the dems it wasnt a priority. Janet Reno had said when AG, we have more important things to do then go after adult porn. The worse things that have happened to our industry have all been during Republican admin's starting with Nixon.
Hukabee will be extra painful, considering the ground work has been set.

with all due respect don't speak out of your ass before doing research. Ron Paul although may not morally agree with it, he will not vote to put any hard ship on porn. He believes we have constitutional rights, and choices like this should be left up to state.

Unlike most religious people Huckabee doesn't hate everyone who disagrees with him, so I really don't see any major changes if he gets elected.

(FWIW Huckabee doesn't have a prayer in the general election even if he gets the nomination....so this is just an academic exercise)

His tax alternative would be ok if it was straight across the board with the exception of big ticket items... Homes, cars, and the like...

But that wouldn't be the case because too many idiots would start changing the percentages to suit their lobby buddies' needs.. It would become a train wreck..
Kinda like the IRS is now...

Seems to me, hes been copying out of the Ron Paul playbook as of late... that and all the right winger pundits have been covering him like mad all of the sudden now that Ron Paul keeps getting more and more momentum (at least on the fundraising/publicity front). I wouldnt trust a word Huckabee says, hes trying to shore up some % points from the Ron Paul voters, IMHO.

Want to see what true freedom should be about?

                                      Prostitution: Legal
                                      Drugs: Legal
                                      Porn: Legal
                                      Internet: Not Government Controlled
Freedom to choose whatever the hell you want to do with your own body.

There's only one politician who is preaching true freedom:

I just read this on Yahoo which could seriously haunt him. Not a good stance and frightening view:

Mike Huckabee once advocated isolating AIDS patients from the general public, opposed increased federal funding in the search for a cure and said homosexuality could "pose a dangerous public health risk."

The first President that seriously come close to getting rid of the IRS will mysteriously be shot by a "crazy lone gunman". The IRS isn't going out that easy.

Republicans actively target it and bring on prosecutions, Democrats don't. Look at the number of obscenity cases during Bush and Clinton.
