I have been told by PayPal that taking money for design work is prefectly acceptable to them, just don't put the PayPal BUY NOW button on your page. You can manually send an invoice to a customer and have them pay you and that's fine. They also do not care if sponsors pay with PayPal.

Now, content providers are technically providing a product (the downloadable pictures) and they actually have the PayPal buttons on their pages. You can't code the PayPal stuff into your pages. I believe you COULD, however, pay a content provider that sends you an invoice, for say, a custom shoot. Because it would be the SERVICE you were buying. The service of him shooting the pictures.

The way I understand it, is they look at graphics design as a service. You're buying the designing of the site, not the site itself, since it's not in existance until the designer creates it.

Something like that, anyway. But PayPal does not mind adult related service payments. They might mind it if you paid for a blowjob with PayPal, though.
