Ok, this is basic math here.
Today is October 26 (at least here in the US). NOT including today there are 5 days left in October. (27,28,29,30,31...5 days)

Then December 20 would be 20 days into December (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,2 0)
35+20=55 So, at 55 days you are at December 20.
To get to the 21st you have to go 56 days from today (NOT including the rest of today)
