He is like just about every other candidate to me. He will say something I agree with, then follow it up with three things that sound crazy.

I think he has about a 1% chance of winning.

Sadly, He's too extreme of a change for most Americans. American's claim they want change but they really mean to change the face of the same type of politican so they can bitch about it...

Hes the best candidate running IMHO. An honest to god, real live honest, principled politician with the record to back it up. Didnt even know they existed.. but hes nowhere in the polls.. he keeps raising some killer money, all from grassroots efforts not even associated with his campaign. He has the most campaign contributions from individuals, and the military. There's quite a movement behind him, its pretty amazing.

I think he will do much better than most expect, but I wouldn't expect him to get the nomination. He would definitely be the candidate best for the adult industry.

He will not win. Many people like him and would vote for him if they thought he stood a chance of winning. The news media is doing their job by down playing his popularity and keeping potential voters away. Sad that our president is picked by a handful of people.

Hey this guy is interesting.... hahahaha!!!

I love the way he casually shrugs off the interviewers attacks. He's really good actually - some original thinking. Dont like his stance on Iraq though.

He sounds good for about 5 mins. After that he starts going off the deep end.
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

He's the best chance, in a long time, that the U.S. has to reinstall its Lockeian Constitutional values.

Sadly, that chance still amounts to about a zero without a Republican or Democratic party backing in the U.S. political world these days. And it appears he's a bit too "radical" (ironic that a return to our constitution is considered "radical") to receive the Republican nod.

Jefferson, among others, warned of the dangers of political parties.

I can see he would do a lot of good for America overall but you cant just up and leave Iraq...... That would mean you went into a country, wrecked it and ran off. The world will explode if you do that.

You guys were stupid enough to elect a dumbo who went into Iraq so now you have to pay to fix things.

The question wasn't "Does he have a chance at winning," the question was "What are your views on Ron Paul?"

I agree that he probably won't even get the nomination, but so what? What is more important here is that his message is being heard. His message of freedom and liberty is resonating with the youth of this country and the revolution will continue with or without Ron Paul in the White House...

                                You sucks at teh readings.

My views on Ron Paul is that he's a pro-life libertarian. The pro-life thing is pretty much all that separates him from the libertarian platform.
These views have been around forever, nothing new there. The difference now is that the level of outrage among small government conservatives + people who hate this war is giving a big microphone to a guy like Paul.

While I do agree with some of his positions, I wouldn't vote for him. There's alot more to being president than just having position papers that people agree with. There is an "X" factor (for lack of a better term) and he just doesn't have it.

Because of his grass-roots alignment and his stance on everythign that matters (basically) he would make an interesting choice for VP on a republican ticket. He an Huckabee might make some waves...

either way, I dont think it matters, since the democratic nomination will either be Barrack or Hillary - BOTH of which will energize the moderates and republicans to show up in record numbers to keep them out of the office. NO WAY democrats stand a chance with Hillary (aka Whicked Witch) - every poll I've seen shows 50 - 60% say they would NEVER vote for her - and thats of likely voters - not even republicans. Unless someone like Edwards can make a move, or unless someone like Gore gets in the race (which he wont) this next election will end up in another republican in the white house.. and who knows who it will be - other than we are certain it WONT be Ron Paul .. unfortunately!

I absolutely love the way Ron Paul wants to dismantle the large bureaucracy. People think that doing something like dismantling the Dept. of Education is crazy, but actually keeping it is crazier. We pay hefty taxes that are taken to a huge pie into Washington which is fought for by huge lobbying interests and then re-distributed back to individual schools after huge chunks of money are wasted... its communistic almost. Why not just take that money and directly give it to the schools? And our schools SUCK btw, so the current system is making Americans stupid.

More and more big government programs need to be taken apart. The government did great before the dept of education, energy, the IRS, etc. But all of that is more philosophical than reality in terms of why I like Ron Paul.

In reality he would make America step down as the world's police immediately by closing down our international military bases. This would help stem blow-back (after some MASSIVE blowback from the Iraq war which is now unstoppable) and save the US tons of money. It also would hamper terrorism because nobody wants to become a terrorist without a good reason.

The fact that America is the superpower is not a good enough reason to become a terrorist in my opinion. A good reason is something like- American soldiers came into our country and fucked it up OR an American cruise missile killed someone in my family OR the CIA overthrew my government and installed a puppet dictator OR an American helicopter shot a missle into my village OR any of the other shit that we do on accident while trying to police the world. THAT kind of shit makes people made enough to strap on a bomb and blow themselves up. If we stopped, so would they and that I why I want Ron Paul... to change our foreign policy and lower my taxes in the process.

I like his ideas on some things. I know he isn't going to win, but I think it's good if he gets attention. We need some exposure for candidates who are for government staying out of our lives.

True, giving states back more rights, things have a chance to swing either way. But you'd have much more influence over the politics in your own state. Your vote counts for a whole lot more when its 1 out of the population of your state, rather than 1 out of the whole country.

The red states would probably become more conservative, and the blue states would probably become more socialist/left, or some may be a big mix between the two.

I'd rather take my chances with the states, then risking more federal regulation on this industry.. When its at that level, it becomes near impossible to challenge or repeal once a bad law gets enacted.

Ron Paul - Your views on this guy?
The last hope for this country - and more importantly this industry.

The idea that anyone in this industry would be stupid enough not to support him is frankly a scary idea.

Anyone with a brain who spends an hour reasearching the candidates will come to the simple conclusion that Ron Paul protects the freedoms we need and stops the overregulation of the internet and has never swayed.

If you give a fuck about your INCOME from adult content on the internet - you BETTER be voting for him.

either way, I dont think it matters, since the democratic nomination will either be Barrack or Hillary - BOTH of which will energize the moderates and republicans to show up in record numbers to keep them out of the office.
You're way off on your theory that Obama will energize republicans and moderates to show up to vote against him.
None of the polling data supports that conclusion.

Obama has more appeal among independents than any other democratic candidate. (More than any republican candidate as well)

I do agree that Hillary being the nominee would make it a close race because of her high negatives and polarizing image.
