    This whole Sparta thing - isnt it a bit gay?

    What am I missing?

    They were a bunch of guys who shagged teenage boys to give them strength... or at least that was the story they gave.

    The boys came up through the ranks because of the guys that had shagged them.

    Are these different Spartas?

      Shh thats not exactly historically accurate.

      They did do their share of man lovin, it was not as rampant as in other areas. They were more about um being very mean to their babies and the whole everything is for the state er country thing.
