I enjoyed Donnie Darko the first time I saw it however the second time I couldn't get past how pretentious it was and had to turn it off. And this is coming from a guy that likes time travel movies and "clever" movies a little too much.

I enjoyed it, but didn't think it as brilliant as some of it's cult followers. I think the original cut is WAY better than the directors cut, which tries to be too mysterious to really be great.
If you want to watch a movie that will leave you feeling disturbed, I'd say Requiem for a Dream does a better job.Comment
