Looks exactly like my 1700. What's the difference between the two, do you know? Is yours remotely configurable? I mean, can someone dial into it to change things? My 1700 isn't equipped for that, but I'd kinda like to have that happen.
          Pffffffftttttttth. I'm done.

Used to have a house with a t1.... the router is in perfect condition and has been in the box for months now... we had a real serious operation in my basement for a while; my dog was a heavy spammer but he learned his lesson fast

when you had a t1 for fun, how much is a t1 line in your location? in europe you can't pay the bill for a private tier1. that must be some (maybe 20) 1,000 $ a month.

no offense mate but i think the price is a bit high , i can sell that router with about 800$(second hand like yours,of course)
maybe in US there are other prices for sh,but here,in Europe those are the prices (no shipping cost included though)

btw,i can sell about any sh router on preorder if anyone is interested([email protected])

In my real life I work for a VAR and sell Cisco routers, most guys usually buy the 1720 for the ROM boost...

Unfortunately, the 1720 model is no longer available as it has been uggraded to the 1721...different IOS configs but basically the same cat. Might be a bit high at 990 for a model no longer in production...it is, however, still supported by Cisco.

                        Regarding T1's

T1's can be had in the Chicago and south area in the $600 (low quality bandwidth, basically inconsistent performance) to $1200 (ATT type than could handle frame relay, IP enabled frame relay or Citrix applications over a VPN or net)...

Hey guys, interesting discussion. I hope you don't mind me throwing in a t1 question I've always wondered about. Is T1 availability restricted by distance from a telephone company just like DSL is, or can ya get a T1 even if you're 80 miles into the backwoods of some rural area? I'm assuming of course you can't, that it is similar to DSL but I never really new for sure.

Oh and dude, NICE BASEMENT OFFICE!
