    why epassport blocked my account

    I buy a gift card from simon.com

    and open the epass card ,the approved

    but today ,epass blocked my account without any reason


    the dont allow gift card to open it ,I have not seen in there site


    any one can answer?

    even you dont allowed ,you should return my money

      I think epassporte have brought in some new rules, one of which seems to be that personal account holders can only receive affilate commission from one sponsor using their system. Maybe this has effected you?

                                                  Seems like opening your account with a gift card you'd just be asking for trouble. They want to verify who you are, linking a card up to a physical address. They'll even block your account until they do so, usually requiring you to fax in a copy of ID and your credit card statement, which you wont have because you got a gift card. Be prepared to set up your actual credit card on the account and go through verification. Don't blame epass becuase you did something retarded. If you could set up an acount with a prepaid credit card or a gift card then whats the security in that? Can't blame them.

                                                                                          Imagine you went into a store and they said " sorry we dont take cash , but now that we have yours we aren't going to give it back until you show 2 forms of id and a letter addressed to you.

                                                                                          and besides that why would they need your id anyways. they cant legally verify any of it , nor do they seem to care when fraud is committed on a massive scale.

                                                                                              Its because his giftcard is a prepaid thing. Not attached to his address, he isn't going to receive monthly bills for it. Its basically a debit card, not a credit card. Anyone can buy prepaid cards easily, and anonymously. I see them at gas stations all the time.

                                                                                              Whats to keep someone from buying a prepaid card with cash at a gas station, opening up an epassporte account and defrauding a bunch of people? It wouldn't be attached him him by a credit card because that card is prepaid and he paid with cash. Kind of the same reason why criminals like to use prepaid tracfones that they paid for in cash.

They change the rules as they go along and they will fuck you over and lie to you at the first opportunity they get. If you have any recourse whatsoever (mail, paypal, another service) use that instead.

                                                                                                                                                                  I can not go into specifics but there is a reason why we don't allow full functionality to accounts opened using a pre paid credit card. Limited functionality could be restrictions on sending/receiving funds, creating gift accounts, get a Electron card and so on.
                                                                                                                                                                  He will be able to spend his money as soon as this issue is resolved, I am dealing with this card holder via email.

Limited functionality could be restrictions on sending/receiving funds, creating gift accounts, get a Electron card and so on.
