    Damn I'm high!

    I had a root canal this morning. I am allergic to Vicodin so the good Doc gave me Percocet. The Novocain started wearing off so I took the pain pills and they are kicking in.

    Time to crank up some Pink Floyd.

                      Agreed. I was blessed because I can't stand pain meds or muscle relaxers. They back me up and just make me feel like shit. Even when I had oral surgery, I would take 800mg Ibuprofen before I took Vicodin or any other prescription pain meds.

                          I don't see myself having an issue with it. I had pain meds a while back for a nasty infection I got. I used them for about 2-3 weeks and had no problem getting off of them. Here the dentist thinks 1-2 days and the pain should be gone.

                          right now I am just enjoying the lack of pain and the GF feeling sorry for me so she is waiting on me. . . I have requested she put on some kind of hot outfit. I'm nor sure if she will or not, but it never hurts to ask.

                                      Had so many root canals, never need medication afterwards. a few years ago I did one without anesthetic of any kind. Why would u need medication in the first place, confused here

                                          It is my own fault. I have had an issue with the tooth for a while and it ended up become an abscess too so it was actually infected and got pretty painful. The root canal fixed the issue, but he had to go pretty deep to get all the crap out of there.

                                          Had I taken care of this two months ago when I first noticed a slight problem it wouldn't have been so bad.

                                          To make is worse the GF is a dental assistant and is going to school to be a dentist so she was all over my ass when she found out I had a tooth issue and didn't tell her about it.

                                                                  That is what I thought. Twice in my life I have had Vicodin and both times I broke out in a rash. But i have had Oxy's once and had no trouble and these Percocet didn't cause me any issues either. I have also had an allergic reaction to codeine caught syrup.

                                                                  The good news is that I slept like the dead and have no real pain today other than a touch of soreness

                                                                  Last night I embraced the haze and watched "Apocalypse Now."

                                                                                  My wife is a doctor, can`t even get a normal fever these days and she is all over me with diagnoses, not even human anymore.
