in my honest opinion, wouldn't it be better to die with everyone else?

If you survived and lets say you're all alone, you're just going to die a slow painful death...there won't be anything to live for. No electricity. Imagine how dark it is going to be at night.

Haven't you ever just wanted to go nuts in a mall? Driving a go kart through a store while picking up supplies? It would be awesome for a week or so, before the realization that life is gonna be hard. But it would be sooooooo worth it

for the long term yes. If you can survive without talking to anyone but yourself for the next 20 years, what would be the goal of trying to trying to survive when you are all alone now? so you're as good as dead imo.

Theres no one to care for anymore..or interact with. Animals? i guess...

Solar flares resulting in a scorched earth?
Nuclear war?
A new ice age?
Meteor impact?
Earthquakes and tsunamis resulting in global flooding?

Not knowing what the apocalypse consists of makes it impossible to make assumptions of what you'd do (or not do) afterwards.

I think "survivalists", who stash weapons and food and build underground bunkers etc, DREAM of the end of the world where they are the only survivors. I think it's a major fantasy for them and that if the end of the world (or end of days, whatever they want to call it) doesn't happen when they want it to, they look for ways or other people to try to make it happen. Scary.
