If you want to create rendered content yourself Poser or DAZ Studio are the fasted and relatively inexpensive option. But be prepared to still invest a lot of money and a hell of time before you get the results you are looking for. Candyflip is right, Loki is a excellent address to buy such stuff but I am not sure if he still is in the content selling biz, maybe he has what you are looking for on stock. If you want quality and exclusive stuff be prepared, you wont get that for cheap.

I've been using 3ds Max for 15 years and is by far my favorite.

A couple of random pointers:
Don't optimize too much until you have a good looking base mesh (Unless you're using a poser or other imported model).
Posing is easiest with a bones or biped rig.
Use one good source light and a soft back light, set ambient lighting up a bit more than default, use HDR if available. Too many lights can ruin a scene.
Use a reference image for posing.
If you know how, a light SSS shader for skin works well.

Thanks for the input fellas. Got the free trial for Poser ready, Just got to set it up. If I can do better than with Blender, I will go ahead and buy.
