He wants to awaken people, which he believes is better than leaving them in their slumbers. Yes he sells fear and lies, but he's not cynical enough to recognize that it's fear and lies. It makes him rich, but I've known conspiracy theorists like him who weren't rich yet who carried themselves in the exact same way. He believes in what he's saying, and personally I admire the sincerity.
