Getting busted with a fake id is sometimes no walk in the park. A police officer or a security guard can just take it form you if you're lucky. Sometimes, if they aren't in a good mood you catch a serious misdemeanor. You can face anywhere from 1 year to probation to a year in jail just for trying to get into a bar or a club or a casino. Even worse if you're the one who made it or sold it because they will try to get the person they busted to turn on you to get out of trouble.

I remember when I first got into this biz and I was only 20. It really would suck but I do see the need from the hotel point of view to limit people when your surrounded by gambling and bars.

where i do agree with that fight/die shit, its not because of that, its because alcohol affects your brain, and the frontal lobes or whatever arn't 100% developed till you're around 21, depending on the person, thats why alcohol is 21 and up...

The USA is the only country in the world with such a high drinking age... The ridiculous thing is it doesn't stop younger people from drinking, it only prevents them from doing it in a safer, more controlled environment.

MADD was responsible for raising the age in states where it was lower, and their agenda has always been drinking and driving, not medical brain development... The funny thing is, 20 year olds will still drive drunk, just like 30 year olds and even 50 year olds.

It's gotta be pretty demeaning to be living in a society where you are considered old enough to serve in the military, get a college degree, have a family... but the man won't let you have a glass of wine with dinner.

Hmmm, more because the drinking and gambling age is 21. A person who's over 18 is still an adult, it wouldn't be underage. But then the choice of venue itself is a club/bar so it makes sense that they can't allow anyone under 21.

You still can't drink on a military base legally under 21, Marines or not. The article states that Marines can finally drink under 21 in Countries that allow under 21 drinking and at special military events like the Ball. (which happened anyway)

There are a couple of based grandfathered in the USA, in which you are allowed to drink under 21.

By law, no matter how old you are you must have ID with you when drinking.
