Quick question. On Statcounter, it has a section for:

        Maximum Visit Length
Used to calculate your unique and returning visitors from a cookie. If this amount of time or more has elapsed since a visitor last visited a page on your website, then that visitor is considered unique. We recommend setting it between 1 and 6 hours. We don't recommend setting it to 24 hours and above.

What do you suggest I put? Right now I left it at 6 hours.

        Thanks

depends on the site type and update frequency, and your personal preference.

since my site has fresh content on each page load, I would set that closer to 1-3 hours. If I ran a site that updated every 12 hours, I'd do closer to 5-6.

          Up to you.

Statcounter is pretty solid. Google Analytics is nice too. They both have pros/cons but Statcounter is my fav.

If you want accurate stats, you aren't going to have any luck with those "counters". Even really solid programs like Google analytics is still off.

Why not get a program like AWSTats? It's free. Have your web hosting company look into http://sourceforge.net/projects/awstats/

A counter on any site is potentially a traffic leak. Always best to try and work with server based stats if poss (such as webalizer).
