Biden vs Ryan Tonight - Who's going to win?

Do any of you guys who are salivating over Biden for his great "experience" (a fucking career politician) not remember his biggest claim to fame?
I do. During the 1988 election. Back then the media actually did their job:
"Biden announced his candidacy in June 1987, and was considered one of the potentially strongest candidates in the field. However, in September 1987, newspaper stories stated he had plagiarized a speech by British politician Neil Kinnock. Other allegations of past law school plagiarism and exaggerating his academic record soon followed. Biden withdrew from the race later that month."-Robbie

In the end, for the democrats, it doesn't matter if polls or experts think he won. He did what they needed him to do which was call Ryan on his bullshit and be fiery. His job was to get the base fired up and to convince seniors that they need to vote for Obama or they are in deep shit and I think he did both of those things.Comment

Biden: We gota take everything the rich earn!
Ryan: we should tax everyone fairly.
Biden: I'm rich and I never worked a day in my life.
Ryan: we should give people choice.
Biden: No choice, we decide what is best for you!
Ryan: Most people work for small bussiness, we should give them a tax break.
Biden: LOL! R u kidding me! Fuck them thay are rich. Take it all!Comment

CNN polls are the best? Interesting, they say Obama is 49% and Romney is 45% for Florida. DrudgeReport is reporting Romney 51% and Obama 44% for Florida.
Funny, Romney got major kudos for being aggressive. Biden supposedly was (less) aggressive and is to be considered a negative? lol.Last edited by Brujah; 10-11-2012, 09:52 PM.- Free Premium Domain Lists and Tools at Clickmojo.com

Biden looked like an idiot on the debate. (I didn't watch the first 30 minutes). He couldn't site specifics on a few different things, while Ryan didn't have that at all.CNN polls are the best? The issue with Romney so far, is he can't explain what he plans to actually do. He says close loopholes, so why not mention we are going to close ABCD and that will cover the cost of whatever.
Also, the closing argument which people remember, Ryan killed him on. Biden was basically like look at my track record. (Can someone please show a website that shows what good he has done where it was fact checked?) Otherwise telling us to check your record means shit to us, since nobody knows what he is for or against.Comment

i know most people dont care what i think, but from an outside point of view i think that Ryan is a very dangerous person. he sits there with his dumbo ears and smug smile and talks about war here and war there as if it was nothing. his views on foreign policy are extremely naive and shows the cowboy mentality that put the US into 2 wars while Bush was PresidentComment
-
he really tweaked your nipples hard with that didn't he?
<--- me chuckling
Biden was smirking and chuckling or had a big shit eating grin every time that Ryan stated what Biden believed to be a falsehood... Kind of a "can you believe this shit?" laugh or smile or smirk. Did he over play it, I thought so at the time. However upon reflection I realized that he would have done it less if Ryan had bullshitted less. Admittedly I am coming from a VERY strong bias for Biden and against Ryan.
Biden is the type of politician that people will either adore or detest, not a lot of grey area with that Scranton man. Out of all the politicians in American history Biden is one of the very few that I would love spending the day at a Bar-B-Que with.
Obama said that they needed to "let Joe be Joe" and that's what we got... well maybe a toned down and cautious Joe because that man if a gaff factory. If you do not like the way he was on stage last night then thats cool, it is your opinion and you have every right to express it in any way you see fit. However, understand that there are millions of people who see that as an honest expression of how VP Biden feels and will respond positively to that.Comment

ryan seemed to dance around a lot of things, being sure to say things in such a way that isn't too specific and leaves things wide open for them to do what they want. the abortion topic for example.i know most people dont care what i think, but from an outside point of view i think that Ryan is a very dangerous person. he sits there with his dumbo ears and smug smile and talks about war here and war there as if it was nothing. his views on foreign policy are extremely naive and shows the cowboy mentality that put the US into 2 wars while Bush was Presidentyou don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..Comment

Yep like what deductions are you going to cut? Cant give a straight answer its because the mortgage deduction will be on the block. No gop president since reagan has cut spending only increased and they will do the same thing on a greater scale and fuck the little people at the same time.Comment

The regulations you are talking about is state and city gov. The regulations Mitt wants to cut has nothing to do with you. They dont even think about you. They will cut regs for the people like the koch brothers, so they can pollute and fuck employees without ramification.Comment

So, i've taken from this discussion that Liberals are still Liberal and support their team no matter what. Conservatives are still Conservative and support their team no matter what and Europeans always support Liberals no matter what even though they don't understand the issues or candidates at all.
Another fine day of eye opening and revelatory discourse on GFY..

thats only because what republican politicians - or more specifically the tea baggers - say sounds so incredibly insane that you probably have to be american and having grown up with this to be able to understand it.
but when someone potentially is elected that has already the next 1-2 wars on his schedule, i reserve my right to voice my opinion since i am eventually affected by his future actions.

I couldn't even decipher what he meant when he expressed his view on abortion. It was double talk.

This pretty much sums it up. I know plenty of people who don't like Obama for the simple reason that he's a black guy. Everyone is a little racist, but some people are too dumb to know that they're blatantly racist.

Europeans aren't Liberal because Bush made them Liberal. Europeans aren't Socialist (in thinking/ideology) because Bush made them Socialist. Tea Baggers? You mean Tea Party? Some ineffectual fringe idiots representing the far end of the spectrum, that Liberal media loves to blow out of proportion? No one "grew up with it"... its something new. That's what i'm talking about. You don't understand US politics any more than Americans understand Czech politics. Like almost everyone else in Europe, you just understand out of context sound bites and flashy headlines from a liberally biased news machine. But of course, that doesn't slow everyone down in their "opinions".thats only because what republican politicians - or more specifically the tea baggers - say sounds so incredibly insane that you probably have to be american and having grown up with this to be able to understand it.

BTW.. I understand everyone is biased in their views. I am, you are,... everyone is. What bothers me is everyone pretending they aren't biased and expressing a biased opinion as fact..

CNN poll of 381 people.. I call small sample on you. Interesting anyway.
I saw Biden being the Biden I've watched for a couple of decades now. And I also think that if Obama had been exactly like Biden was, he would have been declared the winner and strong and on point with the facts on his side.
It's just more of the same can't please everyone when you knew you wouldn't anyway.
MaDalton expressed my views on Ryan pretty well.. Naive. Someone should tell him also that a smirk is not a smile, and tell Biden to wipe the sweat off his balding dome once in a while. I thought he was wearing a tiara from the glare coming off his scalp.43-922-863 Shut up and play your guitar.

To be honest, Biden normally is a terrible debater and had some weak moments last night. Ryan reminded me a bit of Palin, he was like the republican bulldog just trying to attack. Biden stuttered and had trouble a lot getting words out. When he stalled on Iran for what felt like an eternity I was thinking ''here we go again''Comment

here is a poll by CBS that says uncommitted voters thought Biden Killed Ryan, but this is probably just the "Liberal" media
If you want to talk about debate tactics and who would have won had this been held at a college or university with a group of professors grading. Ryan lost.
Although Biden is a total moron a debate is about defending your position on a subject. Ryan got killed on the stimulus attack, again could not provide any specifics on tax loopholes, and got cornered on Afghanistan troop withdrawls. When a debate moderator asks you twice for specifics and you duck the question twice, wait umm shit, I forgot that the moderator is part of the Liberal media....
The main take away for me from this debate is that Ryan supports an endless Afghan war, "We'll leave when the Taliban stops attacking" sounds like Bush to me.
and
Nobody is talking about TARP or bank bailouts. If Romney wanted to win he should just say "Nobody behind the finnancial collapse went to Jail"! But he won't because they are all his buddies
SO
if you are OK with war against Iran vote Romney
if you are OK with your government being run by Goldman Sachs vote ObamaAlways looking for trades on Linkspun! Check my Id hereComment

I lived in Europe for 10 years and have been to almost every major European country many many times. I'm quite familiar with cultural bias. You're right... Americans don't read articles about European politics because we are not in Europe. We don't have 30 neighbors who's politics directly affect us. We don't have an EU and dozens of failing states, each affecting the other. We don't have constant exposure to these dozens of neighbors through news, media, culture, concerts, art shows, tourism etc etc etc.oh, i am very biased, i dont like the republican party and especially the far right tea "party" people and the religious conservatives
also i think i read far more articles about US politics than 99.9% of americans about any politics of any european country (or the rest of the world)
i might be biased, but i am not stupid
Europe on the other hand has constant news about the USA, much more than the USA has about Europe. Americans don't go for weekends in other countries, drive to the French Riviera for a few days, constantly fly and travel to other countries for business, hop on a train and visit 5 countries and so on and so on and so on.
The whole "Americans are stupid and have no idea whats going on in the world" is just more media bias and a stupid stereotype. You think the average Mexican knows anything about Europe or even cares? You think the average Canadian knows more than Americans? Canadians barely know who their own leaders are and care even less.
And by the way (not directed at you)... funny thing about "Americans are stupid" rhetoric... Biggest economy in the world. Biggest military in the world. Been to the moon. Been to Mars... even invented the internet so everyone could bitch about how dumb Americans are to a global audience from their living rooms. Seems Americans might be a little smarter than anyone in Europe wants to give them credit for..

they went to the moon cause they stole all the nazi rocket scientist ;)
anyways - all i am saying is that if someone wants to be leader of the world, they must live with the fact that also people from outside their country add their opinion.Comment
-
Hardly. Atomic bomb? Sure. But the USA went to the moon 15 years after the end of WWII. It's not like the US had a dozen Nazi's in a room under a bright light for 15 years trying to make them talk about their hugely inaccurate and primitive rockets.
Besides, Nazis barely had anything in terms of rocket technology, they were simply the first to embrace and develop rocket technology and that could launch rockets and make them travel hundreds of miles and hit somewhere in a 5 mile radius of where they were aiming. It's not like they were 3 weeks away from sending a man to the moon themselves.
Opinions are fine. But your opinions are not better informed than those living in this country, who are more acquainted with the issues, the politics, the parties and so on. I could read about Czech politics all day, every day for the next year, that wouldn't make me qualified to have an opinion and I would understand little more than a few stereotypes and the inflammatory headlines of biased news sources.anyways - all i am saying is that if someone wants to be leader of the world, they must live with the fact that also people from outside their country add their opinion.
Stating biased opinions as fact, particularly when its to malign roughly 100,000,000+ people and a misguided and wrong or incomplete understanding of their views is immature..

Also, MaDalton, you seem like a very nice and professional guy. I am not meaning to attack you or anything. It's just weird to see years and years and years of Europeans talking about US politics and embracing the same old simplistic stereotypes as if they are somehow more informed than Americans on the issues... then defending their views by relying on the stereotype that Americans are just dumb and naive and less informed about anything going on in the world. Yet Europeans somehow believe themselves to be just as informed on US politics and issues as Americans.
BTW... I don't watch politics, debates etc because I do not believe the nations problems stem from who is or isn't in the White House..
