I saw it in a movie, lol. Is it real? With the flip of a switch it went from clear to thick smokey white that you couldnt see through. I could use these in my hot tub room.

I have a friend who works at a major telephone company, and we took a tour into the control room overlooking the entire network... he flipped a switch and every wall turned to glass... you could see the entire network operations floor and all the maps of call routing and node status and everything... it was cool as fucking hell. Then they flipped it back and every wall turned back into some frosted glass.... very very cool stuff indeed... probably expensive as hell to install..i like wafflesComment

I'd bet the glass is filled with some sort of chemicals/objects that when a current is applied the chemical/object becomes opaque/moves.

It's not really a tint..it's an LCD film laminated within the glass, that when an electric current is applied, turns opaque giving privacy, then returns to clear when switched off.Comment

it was done in the 60's but never caught on .
amtrack trains were going to use it i believe
i remember seeing a video of it ages ago and thought that it would be used in tons of places today.
what is it is 2 planes of glass with some chemical in between the glass, when given a charge the chemical allows 0 light thru .. so from clear to black..
