Why do you all want to chat talent up on the phone beforehand? I get why you might want to see them in person before booking and I get why you'd decide to just trust that they still look like their pics and the pics are not overly retouched. But what does their phone chat have to do with what they will look like on camera?

I don't care to "chat models up" - I need to know the person I'm emailing back and forth with is ACTUALLY A FEMALE MODEL, and that they can be contacted by phone in an emergency, should either of us have a last-minute issue before a shoot, or when the model is a no-show you can call her to see what's up.
From now on I will go over all details by email, as needed, but when the model asks for my studio location, I will only let them know verbally, via a phone call.
That's my new rule, so No Call = No Shoot, and that's just how it goes.
