I agree that it's generational. Models over 30 yrs old are more likely to be okay with some level of phone interaction, but models under 30 are much more opposed to the idea, and it's getting very annoying.
If you were applying for a real job and you tell you perspective employer that you do not use the phone, how likely is it that you would be hired?
I know modeling is not exactly the same, but still... YOU are hiring the model - YOU are PAYING the model - so shouldn't they have to comply with YOUR booking/employment rules?
Visit a modeling site message board, and you would think the models are in charge of the rules now. This seems to be the younger generations impression.
I just don't get it, and I definitely don't like it! I guess I'm really old now....
