    Monetizing religion as a webmaster

One of the things that the great US of A does offer is a large religious market to tap into.

Inspire me please, this is a brainstorming session.

    In before Donny.

First you have to convince people that you've found the exact location of heaven and map it out. THEN sell land on it..

We had a client several years ago that sold downloadable King James Bibles, Torah's and Koran's.

He charged like $19.95 for them and from what I understand, he didn't do to badly with them, pretty sure he even had an affiliate program attached.

I ran a markov chains program over the king james bible text a year or two ago. Being markov output it's semi-random garbage, but it actually looks half plausible. Bet it could get some bashers thinking for a minute or two, trying to decipher its true meaning...

Except the land was filled with them. And he did neither eat bread, nor drunk any water, three days expound the riddle. And his host, and those that were in the house of bondage, to thrust thee away with them, that they might dwell together; and the lord appeared unto jacob all the while he offered sacrifices. And the lord made not this written in the first book of the holy place, even the two posts, and went along the highway, all the work of goats' hair for his father had but spit in her father's household, and shebna the scribe, and joah the son of jephunneh.

The trolling nature of the thread aside, I can think of quite a few ways to monetize it.

I have quiet a few ideas, but they're in process. If they fail, I'll let you know. If they work, you'll never hear about this again.
