Available places tend to fill up real fast, we moved there in June/July 2009 and couldn't find anything nice in my budget for 700 euros a month, in the end I had to get a place at 900 euros per month but it was pretty bad ass and a great location so I didn't mind too much.
If you want to do some diving I highly recommend getting the Ferry to Gozo and going to a place called Xlendi, it has some great areas to dive in and caves to go exploring in, you'd love it. There's also nice places to grab food/beers after you are done and watch the sun set right out on the water.

Thanks for the info.
Well I wanted to get there in mid-june (probably from 12th to 24th/26th). There will be all the exchange students hopefully.
I was in Milan this year in April, and there were a lot of foreign students,

and Milan itself is just an amazing town.
I thought of maybe renting this villa

I would probably call her this winter to reserve it, just to be sure no-one else is going to take it. The only disadvantage of this villa is that it's far away from St. Julians bay :\
