Phantasm kicked ass. Unfortunately, they're going to try to sell you Ryan Reynolds as Aquaman before they make a "real" movie - which would be ANY movie that does not have Ryan Reynolds in it. If that doesn't work, they'll continue trying to sell you Ryan Reynolds as any super-hero until it clicks, or until everyone kills themsleves.
Whereas they would have been better off remaking Phantasm with Ryan Reynolds. He would make a good first victim.
