    Is this the beginning of World War Three?

    Tin foil hats aside..

    most of the middle east (with nukes) protesting against the USA and Germany. China is fucking with japan's national pride. Two major events that could spark war don't you think?

                      Could.... But highly unlikely. If you look back over history, every year there is a major event that has people saying "Is this the start of World War Three?". We've forgotten most of them.

                      People also fails to understand the concept of a world war. A world war would involve dozens of countries with massive armies facing off, and tens of millions would die. However, there isn't too many counties who could field a huge army and it might just be irrelevant - the entire nature of warfare has changed. WWII took as long as it it did because armies were fighting across large tracts of territory, be it ocean in the Pacific or land in Europe. Blitzkrieg was sixty years ago; Now the moment the battle starts it doesn't take hours to reach the top of the government, it takes moments.

                      I just finished reading a book about the Iraq war written by an Iraqi general who ran the communications for the Iraqi government and military. It was a huge underground bunker, and the very first shots fired destroyed it and destroyed their ability to communicate.

                      The only way we'll see WW3 is if nukes are involved, and if that's the case.... There won't be much to worry about because we'll all die.

                          Pentagon prepares to drop the hammer on anti-US Muslim riots?

                          The US has deployed military teams to respond to unrest in 17 or 18 locations in Muslim nations that are of strategic interest to Pentagon.

                          ha"We have to be prepared in the event that these demonstrations get out of control," Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said in a Friday interview with Foreign Policy.

                          Panetta did not offer further details on the statement, but the magazine quoted a US defense official who confirmed that the Pentagon has deployed 100 Marines to Libya, Tripoli and Yemen, and is also considering whether to send 50 soldiers to Sudan.

                          The comments came after four days of anti-US protests across the Muslim world in countries such as Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon and Sudan. Tensions came to a head after after Friday’s prayers, with Muslims massing near American embassies to voice anger over the US-made amateur film 'Innocence of Muslims' that ridiculed the Prophet Muhammad.

                                              What you have to understand is everyone says this stuff is happening because the US & other western nations interferes in middle east business.

                                              People love to say that if we left and pull all our troops out and didn't do anything there that the Islamist would be happy.. This is a lie.

                                              The truth is the Radical Islamist want to unite Muslims all over the world under their strict idealism of their religion. They don't want to stop at their country's boarders but they want every country ruled by Islamic law.

                                              The extremist use these little events to create chaos in other to drive a wedge between their selves and the rest of the world.

                                              Look at Europe these days and look at the problems they create there then look at every country they move to and expect everyone else to bend to their agenda & idealism rather than fitting in with everyone else.

                                                  1. Middle East are a bunch of peasants protesting. Don't expect their governments to begin launching missiles because a small minority of peasants are pissed off.

                                                  2. China is just flexing its muscle, nothing more. Neither Japan or China are about to start shooting missiles either.

                                                  I don't believe a WWIII will ever come. We're too globalized of a world nowadays, so one developed nation attacking another developed nation is the same as attacking yourself. For example, you think the US is going to go to war with China? Both, the US and Chinese economies would plummet almost overnight if that happened.

                                                      WW3 will never come. Look at what is happening between China and Japan right now. I believe the US has a treaty in place with Japan that limits their offensive ability, but requires us to help defend Japan if attacked. China going to war with the US is a stretch, and they might be able to beat us... But imagine the fall out if they did - The economy in China would grind to a halt because they would have no one to make products for....

Its just a matter of exact date but before the november elections. Iran will retaliate hitting Isreal and every US base in the middle east.                                                                                                                                                               The part where they stood there watching the Minuteman missiles being launched...not fully grasping the reality of the moment and comprehending the eventual consequences to themselves.
