              Quantitative Easing is essentially adding more money to the economy literally out of nothing. QE3 is shaping up to be larger than many expected at nearly $500 billion per year, and it's open-ended!

                      We're on like QE5 already. Operation Twist and the other bond buying program was QE3 and 4, even though they didn't call it that. It's basically QE to infinity. It won't stop until we default.

                          It is may be more bark than bite really.

                          I read an article of the houses not being foreclosed yet by the banks -- so there may be a serious housing value decline yet to come. Any support in mortgage backed bonds may ease the damage that may be coming and seems to be in acknowledgement of this underlying problem.

                              QE* is what happens when all else fails. Sad that the FED chairman would rather turn the dollar into toilet paper instead of confronting congress.
